In February 2018 we signed HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter, a commitment to improve gender balance across the financial services sector, at every level.
Our goal was that 40% of senior managers are women by December 2021. We hit this target early in October 2019, and in August this year we reached 42.4%.
We’re extremely proud to have surpassed this goal and we will continue to strive to make our organisation a gender-equal and attractive workplace for women.
Our Executive Committee (ExCo) have set a new target of 45% of women in senior management positions by 2023. With such encouraging results so far, we’re confident we can hit this target.
Supporting female leaders
One of the ways we’re nurturing future female leaders is through our two networks for women. Empowering Women and Inspiring Women aim to support women at different career stages. These networks provide open forums where topics can be discussed in a safe and confidential environment.
We’re also supporting women at more junior levels through mentoring to help with their personal development.
