The audit panel provides accounting services to trustees of schemes in our assessment period.

The data validation panellist provides member data tracing and accuracy services to trustees of schemes in our assessment period, and to our Board for schemes that have transferred to the PPF and FAS.

Our Defined Contribution (DC) discharge provider offers a Master Trust solution to ensure that members who have DC benefits have their benefits discharged and protected.

Our assessment period legal panel provide expert advice to trustees of schemes in our assessment period, including schemes that are 'buying out' if they are overfunded.

We also have a separate legal panel which provides services to our Board in relation to matters such as investment transactions, real estate and employment.

The specialist admin and actuarial services panel administer schemes in the assessment period carrying out tasks such as benefit reviews, data cleansing and providing payroll services.

Our trustee and support services panel encourage scheme trustees to strive for a high standard of contingency planning and to consider any knowledge gaps. They provide support and direction throughout our assessment period and provide expert advice and assistance for restructuring/pre-insolvency discussions and negotiations.

We refer to the expert advisory firms as 'panellists'. They provide specialist advice and support to schemes where the sponsoring employer is in distress or to us directly.

Our panellists use the PPF Trustmark badge. The badge shows the high-quality service they provide to members of schemes in PPF assessment and provides reassurance to members of schemes in PPF assessment.

Our panel firms are an innovation we introduced to help us maintain our high standards during key parts of the assessment process. We've been collaborating successfully for several years and have managed to transfer the vast majority of schemes within two years.

Scheme trustees

We work with scheme trustees and their advisors when a sponsoring employer is in financial distress or facing a major change or ‘event’ – such as a restructuring arrangement or potential insolvency – which might trigger the entry of an eligible scheme into PPF assessment.
